Soviet tour

Private tour for 1-3 persons

€60.00€55.002 h

Tour starts: at the Vincas Kudirka square, at the monument.

The Soviet era in Lithuania covers the years 1940-1941 and 1944-1990, a period when the country experienced occupation, deportations of the population, arrests, persecution of dissidents and systematic ideological pressure. At the same time, there was both open and silent, spiritual and ideological resistance. During this walk, we will discover the surviving signs of architecture and everyday life from the Soviet period, from monumental constructions and propaganda symbols to the everyday realities that shaped life. We will discuss control, persecution, resistance, and the inner world of people, which helped preserve identity and faith in freedom.

The language of this tour can be Lithuanian or English. The tour starts at V. Kudirka Square, and the end of the tour is at Atgimimo Square near the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
