Christian Vilnius

A longer, two-and-a-half-hour, more in-depth walking tour through Christian Vilnius. We will explore the Cathedral and its chapels, hear the stories of the martyrdom of the first Franciscan monks, and pause by the old Bishops’ Palace – today’s Presidential Palace. We will visit Vilnius University, the courtyard of the Papal Seminary, the Shrine of Divine Mercy with the image of the Merciful Jesus, St. John’s Church, the impressive ensemble of St. Anne’s and the Bernardine Churches, and St. Casimir’s Church. We will follow in the footsteps of the Jesuits, talk about the Eastern Christian churches, and visit the Chapel of the Gate of Dawn. Of course, every step through Vilnius Old Town is a step through history – the mentioned sites are only the main highlights of this walking tour.

The language of this tour can be Lithuanian or English. The tour starts at the Cathedral bell tower, and the tour ends at the Gate of Dawn.
